Career Development for Community Members

The Islamic Institute of Learning in the Metroplex (IILM) – a non-profit

 organization in North Texas - is offering our second year of career

 development training for aspiring professionals and newcomers.

The classes will be held on weekends as well as weekdays at the IILM

Center at 2109 West Parker, Plano, TX. The content will cover all of the

 requisite content for professional development in the SAP BASIS arena.

What is SAP?

SAP is an ERP (Enterprise Resource & Planning) application like

Oracle Applications that is mostly used in Fortune 1000 companies.

  SAP BASIS is the software implementation/ administration of all SAP

 applications. Simply put, BASIS is the administration of the SAP

 system.  It's a piece of middleware which links the application with the

 database and the operating system. BASIS is most commonly

 associated with the GUI interface to the SAP, and the BASIS

 administrator is an SAP professional who is responsible for

 configuring the SAP environment, including the GUI screens and SAP

 application servers.

Why Should I take the class?

You may choose to take this class as a means for career development,

 a change into a high-demand career, expanding your knowledge of

 information systems, or starting your own consulting practice in

 information systems. The demand for SAP BASIS skilled individuals

 continues to grow with very little formalized instruction available from

 public higher education institutions.

How can I learn more?

Orientation is scheduled for this Saturday 10/10/2009 from 10AM till 11am at IILM.   To get a clear in-

depth understanding of the course contents all students are requested to attend this orientation.
